Summer Love

I went back for my annual Summer vaca' in Pinas on one of the busiest week (atleast for my parents)...no one at home has the time to pick me up at the airport...
next option...
my ever reliable guy.

'eys...reminder: no fone. no peso. so no you. no me.'

my bestfriend is: 99.9% late (all the time) plus 99.9% unpredictable, that left me expecting for the worst.

but when i arrived..he was already there..wow! (on time!!! well, my flight was late.)

"ang payat mo ata!!(you're thin)"
"ha?!"
(coming from him??? it must be true!)


i was back being the 'bes' again...doin' every unusual thing with my bestfriend.. i am home :)



"kambal??(twins?)"
with our identical chubby cheeks..we might be twins after all..heheh..

i was back being a kid...having a good talk with my cousin..not over toys but over beer na...hihi..


election day was all about people still..different species coming in and out of the house, looking for food, facts, gossips and even money!!!

"palen!!" (my childhood nickname)

i've heard the name being called and shouted a couple of times... old friends, schoolmates, neighbours and even strangers taking another look at me.. (i don't wanna brag) i am pretty known in my place :)

(thank you for the shades, celebrity effect lang..hihihi)

to some people... they were there... yet again, they prefer not to be noticed. Oh well.


i was back being 'phalyn'... it feels home.


ate: 'waaaaaaah!!(hysterical) di ako marunong lumangoy!(i can't swim)'
me: 'e hindi naman daw tayo itataob eh!'
puching: 'sama ko (i wanna go)'
me: 'pwede ka na ba?'
mommy: lezgow!! (keber!)

my ate was totally nervous when we hopped on the banana boat...what more if she discovered that her lifevest was totally sira (ruined)!!nyihihihi!'

i was back being the sister and daughter... it feels home.


'tara don sa bukid! tuturuan kita bumaril! (i'll teach you how to shoot.)'
'huh?!'

it was nice doing quality time with my dad... even for a shortwhile, he never fails to make time for me...but this time..gawd, he let me try his 45 automatic pistol!!!!


'firing the pistol seems easy...but the feeling is soo...uneasy (i tell you)'





i was back being the designated 'guy' in the family...with 3 girls...who could he entrust to do the man job??? that would be...ME.




the last leg of my vacation was...the roadtrip to South!!
with friends with friends with friends... getting together to have 'that' good time...
