No one asked me to go home, not even my father obliged me to. Honestly, 4 of us in the family voted for a different President, Vice President and Senators.
sorry. taking pictures were not allowed inside the voting polls.
(was doubting if i would be caught and convicted of spying)
Automated System chorva meant quick voting method but less voting precint. Result: super long queue. We arrived getting nos. 516 and 517 and they were currently calling no. 350 something. goodness!!!
How I hate falling in line, waiting....waiting...and that time..under the scorching sun. And so my sister and I decided to go...where else...JOLLIBEE!!! weeeeh..
(don't mind the strap please, she might have thought it was so cool that way)
The queue was longer in Jollibee but we did wait patiently anyway showing our loyalty to the 'Pambansang Foodchain'.
Funny thing when we reached the counter after 30 minutes:
the "Bee" crew: Hi ma'am! Welcome to Jollibee, can I take your order?
ate: 3 chicken joy meal please.
the "Bee" crew: Sorry ma'am. Chicken's not available.
ate & me: HAH?!??!!!!!!
(the point of Jollibee not serving chickenjoy??!!!)
the "Bee" crew: We stopped taking chickenjoy meal orders??
agggh!!! It was so irritating I didn't even bother to complain and feel bad. haaaaaaaay!!!! For that forsaken day...why?? why did I need to crave for the chicken same as everyone else?Answer: May pang Jollibee kse lahat ng bumoto today. haaay!!
We got back the school just in time for our numbers to be called. Sipped my tasteless Jollibee coke and got in and take part of this voting thing. The automated voting system left me looking ignorant with everything or as I knew myself better, was off to any of the particulars but the 'shading moment' (double checked if I shaded the president right and avoided even looking at the letters that read "Erap").
After the machine ate the paper, verified with the greetings: Congratulations! and my right index finger was inked. I was done for the day. Yipee!! Voting done! 'Now we can eat!'
My Jollibee french fries treat after voting.
Exercising my rights being soooo Pinoy.
My one vote to change everything else in my country's history.
Now, I have done my part. Faith will take over the rest.
